Linked Sensor Data: RESTfully serving RDF and GML
نویسندگان
چکیده
Publishing sensor observations on the Linked Data web is the rst step in enabling the development of semantic web applications and mashups that can utilise sensor data. We present the design for a prototype API exposing data from the Channel Coastal Observatory in the UK. By combining REST and Linked Data principles we support both Semantic Web clients, OGC GML clients, and hybrid applications that can transpose between these, and other, representations.

Linking spatial data: automated conversion of geo-information models and GML data to RDF
Linked data provide an alternative route for the dissemination of spatial information compared to the traditional SOA-based SDI approach. The traditional approach has provided a wealth of standardized and structured location data based on Geography Markup Language (GML), while linked data provides an open mechanism for sharing and combining this data with anything, once the data is available as...
متن کاملIntegration of Spatial XML Documents with RDF
The fact that GML is an XML encoding allows it to be queried. In order to query a GML document we have designed a query language over GML/XML enriched with spatial operators. This query language has an underlying data model and algebra that supplies the semantics of the query language. In this paper, we propose an approach for integrating Geospatial data on the Web, stored in GML documents, usi...
متن کاملLDspider: An Open-source Crawling Framework for the Web of Linked Data
The Web of Linked Data is growing and currently consists of several hundred interconnected data sources altogether serving over 25 billion RDF triples to the Web. What has hampered the exploitation of this global dataspace up till now is the lack of an open-source Linked Data crawler which can be employed by Linked Data applications to localize (parts of) the dataspace for further processing. W...
متن کاملTrentino Government Linked Open Geodata: First Results
In this paper we report our work on publishing linked data of the Trentino Region in Italy following the Open Government Data (OGD) Initiative and in compliance with INSPIRE directive. Introduction: As part of the Semantic Geo-Catalogue (SGC) project [15, 16], the Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT) published its geographical data as linked data in RDF. Within the INSPIRE Directive1, it is requ...
متن کاملBuilding Linked Data For Both Humans and Machines
In this paper we describe our experience with building the riese dataset, an interlinked, RDF-based version of the Eurostat data, containing statistical data about the European Union. The riese dataset (http://riese.joanneum.at), aims at serving roughly 3 billion RDF triples, along with millions of high-quality interlinks. Our contribution is twofold: Firstly, we suggest using RDFa as the main ...
